Sissy And The Blisters

Sissy And The Blisters are a London-based garage rock group active since 2009. The band is a four-piece and is associated with indie, post-punk, garage rock and garage punk.

Career

The group tours in the UK on its own and also supports other acts, including The Duke Spirit, Cage The Elephant and Dinosaur Pile-Up. It appears on the Latitude festival line-up in July 2012.

Recordings and reception

The band releases the Let Her Go EP, which is included in a music blog’s list of notable EPs for 2011. Its 2012 single Killing Time also receives positive attention.

Style and influence

Sissy And The Blisters is strongly influenced by The Cramps, the New York garage-pyschobilly band.

Band history

The band forms in 2009. A lead singer later departs, and the planned debut album does not appear. The group is then reported to have split up.
