Siouxsie

Siouxsie is a London-based British group active from 1976 to 1996, associated with alternative pop, alternative rock, art pop, art rock, gothic rock and neo-psychedelia. The line-up includes Siouxsie Sioux with Steven Severin, and has also included Marco Pirroni, Sid Vicious, Peter Fenton, John McKay, Kenny Morris, Robert Smith, Budgie, John McGeoch, John Valentine Carruthers, Jon Klein, Martin McCarrick and Knox Chandler.

Background

Siouxsie Sioux is the professional name of Susan Janet Ballion, born in London. She is a singer and lyricist who fronts Siouxsie and the Banshees, formed in 1976, and the splinter group The Creatures, formed in 1981. She begins a solo career in 2004.

Solo work

Her first solo album, Mantaray, appears in 2007 and includes the tracks “About to happen”, “If it doesn’t kill you” and “They Follow you”.
