Simon Patterson

Simon Patterson is a UK trance DJ and producer from Belfast. He works in electronic music with a focus on trance, progressive trance, uplifting trance and tech trance, and is also associated with EDM and electronic.

Career

He first builds experience behind the scenes on two of the biggest shows on Radio 1, working as a tastemaker for Seb Fontaine and Judge Jules on their peak-time Saturday programmes. He then develops his own career as a DJ, producer and remixer, becoming known for a dark, driving and pulsating style.

As a performer, he plays major club nights and festivals in the UK and abroad. His appearances include events in Rotterdam, Ibiza, Russia, Dubai, Malta, the Netherlands, Canada, Germany, Cyprus, and a range of UK dates. He also performs at Dance Valley, Sunrise, HI-FI, Planet Love and Mexico Stadium.

Production and projects

Patterson’s production debut arrives in 2006 with the track F-16. A follow-up release, Strip Search/Panic Attack, is planned in the same period.

He is also one half of Dogzilla with Richard Kayvan. Under that name, the pair record Without You, a well-known trance release that helps define the rock-trance movement and achieves anthem status. The project goes on to produce numerous remixes.
