Silver Columns

Silver Columns is a Scottish group made up of Adem Ilhan and Johnny Lynch. Lynch also records as The Pictish Trail and is associated with the Fence Collective, while Ilhan is known as a folk musician and as bassist in the post-rock band Fridge. The project begins as a collaboration between the two musicians, who make music using instruments they do not fully know how to play, built around a four-to-the-floor rhythm.

The group first draws attention with the singles Brow Beaten and Yes, and Dance. It makes its live debut at Fence Records' annual Homegame event and then appears at festivals and venues. Silver Columns is active from 2009 to the present.
