Sidewinder
Sidewinder is an Australian rock band from Canberra, active from 1991 to 1999, with Martin Craft as the named member. The group releases material under a sound that combines 1960s influences with modern pop and rock, with a slight psychedelic element, and later adds electronic beats and studio effects to that mix.
Releases
The band releases three EPs: T Star and Yoko Icepick in 1993, and The Gentle Art Of Spoonbending in 1995. It also issues two full-length albums: Atlantis in 1996 and Tangerine in 1997.
Tangerine
Tangerine expands the band’s style with modern electronic beats and computer-based studio techniques. It includes the singles Titanic Days, Here She Comes Again, God and Mummy/Daddy, and receives strong reviews, appearing on several year-end top 10 lists for 1997.
After the band
M. Craft, identified as Martin, goes on to a solo career after Sidewinder.
