Sicknote is a drum and bass artist from London, United Kingdom, and is associated with G.H.O.S.T. The name also appears in connection with a Cardiff-based act described as a hybrid of electro punk and post-new-rave, built around a live drummer called The Filth, a laptop programmed by Johan Flapsandwich, and the vocals of Doghouse.

Style and sound

The Cardiff project is described as a heavily original, high-energy combination of punk, electronic music and dance rhythms. Its sound is said to draw on The Fall, Captain Beefheart and LCD Soundsystem, while also using funk-driven, pounding electro and dance elements. Its performances include masked dancers and surreal video elements, with visuals provided by P&O. The line-up is also said to include Dr Conker, described as the group’s “Gay Scottish Bez”.
