Sian is the recording name of Graham Goodwin, a DJ and producer associated with Dublin and Los Angeles. Born in Dublin and raised in southern Spain, he works in house and techno and is also linked to midtempo bass, tech house, big room techno, synthwave and bass.
Career
Sian develops a DJ and production style rooted in electronic dance music, and is known for sets that have taken him to clubs and festivals across Europe, as well as to Canada, the United States, Eastern Europe and Australia. He appears at venues and events including Berghain, Secretsundaze, Tripod, Electric Picnic, Compression, Fusion Festival, Mulletover, The End, Rohstofflager, Industria, Nitsa, Hive, Suburbia, Supermarket, Chinese Laundry, Spy and The Endup.
Releases and labels
He records mainly for Dubfire’s Sci+Tec label and for Aus Music. He also releases on Poker Flat, Karmarouge, Dessous and Mule. His label work centres on Octopus, an imprint he runs himself, which issues music by artists including Gui Boratto, 3 Channels, Ripperton, Herve AK, Yapacc, Axel Bartsch, Calculus and Nico Purman, and also features remixes from Dan Durtin, Jonas Kopp, John Selway and Gummihz.
