Si-Tew

Si-Tew is a songwriter, producer and performer from Leamington Spa. He begins his career as a bedroom DJ and underground producer, playing at clubs and outdoor festivals before moving towards a more professional approach in his late teens. He later studies at university, where he develops his production work further by running radio show broadcasts, recording vocalists and performing DJ sets in venues across the Midlands.

Education and early development

He graduates with a BSc honours degree in Music Technology. In 2005 he receives the BBC Urban Music Bursary for his work, and through that he meets Martin Iveson, who offers him an internship at his studio in Derby. Si-Tew moves to Derby in 2007 and sets up his own studio at the label headquarters, where he writes and records for film and television while continuing to develop as an audio professional.

Collaborations and recording work

With Martin Iveson, also known as Atjazz, he begins his first collaboration under the name Mist Works. This project gives him a professional outlet for his musical ideas and leads him to assemble his own songs and productions into his debut album, When the Clouds Ran Away.
