Si Cranstoun is a UK blues and soul singer and songwriter associated with retro rock and roll, rockabilly and easy-listening styles. He performs with a band and builds his work around upbeat rhythms, soulful vocals and horn-led arrangements.

Career

He first comes to wider attention as one half of the duo The Dualers, who score two UK Top 30 hits with Kiss On The Lips and Truly Madly Deeply. After that period, he continues as Si Cranstoun with his band and develops a reputation on the vintage and retro live circuit in the United Kingdom and beyond.

He is trained in songwriting by Graham Lyle, who has written hits for Michael Jackson and Tina Turner, and is described as reaching the level of “Grand Master” under that teaching. Songwriting remains central to his work, and his material is presented as a strong part of his catalogue.
