Showcase

Showcase is a group from Nashua active from 2007 to the present, and it is an a cappella quartet comprising Katine Dickau, Kari-Lynn Knight, Kathleen Macdonald and Renée Tramack. The name is also used by more than one artist, but this group is identified in the input as a Japanese-related act and as a multiple-artist name.

Under this name, one project is described as a doujin trance arranger connected with zts’s circle, CODE ZTS LABEL. Another is a former local Maryland band that has been broken up for several years. That band uses the term “NEOP rock” for its sound, a label it applies to music drawn from punk, emo, pop and modern rock influences.

The NEOP rock description presents the music as punk without power chords, emo without the whining, pop without the crappiness and modern rock without sounding like other music on the radio. The band is also noted for a high-energy stage presence and a live show aimed at fans of the style.
