Shokran

Shokran is a metal group from Krasnodar that begins as a solo project by Dmitry Demyanenko. The project starts in August 2012 and develops into a full band during the same year. Its music is described as progressive metalcore, djent, math metal, oriental metal and groove metal, with the earlier description of the project emphasising an oriental-groove-djent style.

Formation and early line-up

The first release is the debut EP Sixth Sense, issued in September 2012. It contains five tracks, all written and recorded by Demyanenko. Michael Isaev then joins on drums, followed by vocalist Sergei Raev, bass player Rodion Shevchenko and guitarist Alexander Burlakov. The project then becomes a full-time band.

Members

The group is identified in its later line-up as Dmitry Demyanenko on guitar, composition and founding duties, Serezha Raev on vocals, Michael Isaev on drums and Valery Wally Yushkevich on bass. The verified membership for the group also includes Andrew Ivashchenko.
