There are, at least, seven artists known as Shock. 1)A 1970's Brazilian tradicional Heavy Metal band from João Pessoa (Paraíba), one of the pioneers of this music style in Brazil. 2) A UK-based experimental new wave music, dance & mime troupe, who recorded a series of singles, in the early 1980s (aka SHOCK (UK)). Two prominent members - Tim Dry & Sean Crawford - went on to form the 'new wave' duo Tik and Tok & appear in the Return of the Jedi film. Another prominent member was Canadian-born Barbie Wilde - best known, outside music, for portraying Female Cenobite in several "Hellraiser" films - made several music recordings & appeared in many '80s music videos, often for other musicians. Debuting in 1985, SHOCK received rave reviews for a series of demo recordings which were circulated among Metal connoisseurs worldwide. SHOCK's live performances throughout Eastern Canada, as a headliner and opener for Metal titans such as MEGADETH, MOTÖRHEAD, ANTHRAX, and METAL CHURCH, established the band's reputation as one of Canada's most original offerings to the period Metal scene. Frustration at being unable to secure a suitable recording contract led to the band's breakup in 1990. After a period of reflection and experience with other musical projects, Tony V, John Tennant, Steve Monette, and new drummer Chad Walls have reintroduced SHOCK in 2011 to the Metal community with the band's strongest lineup. The band released their new album in 2013 titled "Once Denied" to rave reviews. 4) A Pop band from the Bay Area, California. They formed in 2010 and feature three members: Terri Loewenthal, Dan Judd and Michael Taras. Their debut single, "Heaven", was released in October 2012. 5) A part of the early LA punk scene, along with bands like Dickies, Weirdos, Black Flag & X. 6) Shock is also a 80s funk group who started recording 1980 with the album "Electrophonic Funk". 7) Hardcore punk band from France, members of Warning//Warning
