Sharks in your Mouth
Sharks in your Mouth is an Italian group active since 2011. Its line-up includes Andrea “Andy” Pali on vocals, Daniele “Bobo” Monaldi on guitar, Valerio “Vaela” Quirini on lead guitar, Diego “Dydo” Nardelli on bass and Enrico “Enry” Rivetti on drums.
Style and development
The band moves from post-hardcore toward djent, and its sound is also described as metalcore with post-hardcore influences. Its broader genre profile includes djent, metalcore and symphonic metal. The group continues to develop its style rather than settling on a fixed approach.
Releases
Its first album is Promises, which appears in 2016 and is described as mainly metalcore with post-hardcore influences. The band then develops a second full-length record, Sacrilegious.
The Covenant
The band’s concept is called The Covenant. This gives its fandom the name “Covenants” and is framed as a gathering of people against injustice, racism, depression and loneliness, with the aim of unifying the world. Symbolism is a central part of the project, and the band’s story and imagery are carried through its official music videos and lyrics.
