Seven Summits

Seven Summits are an indie rock band from Belfast, Northern Ireland. The group forms in 2008 and consists of Rory Nellis, Dominic Coyle, Joe McGurgan and Joe Laverty.

Style and influences

The band uses a mix of guitar and synth textures to make melody-led alternative rock. Their influences include Bombay Bicycle Club, Wild Beasts, Blur, Grandaddy, Pavement and Weezer.

Releases and recognition

Seven Summits release two full-length albums, Seven Summits and Fossils. They also release the single Little Twist in 2013, which is their last recorded material. Their debut album is named BBC Introducing Album of the Month and also appears in Green&Live’s Top 20 Irish Album of 2009.
