Sertraline

Sertraline are a five-piece metal band from Stoke-on-Trent, active since 2014 and based in the North West of the UK. The group forms around melodic metal, and they are also tagged as post-black metal, atmospheric black metal, alternative metal and depressive black metal.

Early releases

The band forms in August 2014. Their debut single, Set The World Alight, appears at the end of that year and receives radio play, including support from BBC Introducing. Their debut EP, Bury The Ghosts, follows in spring 2015 and draws critical attention.

Activity and line-up changes

Sertraline support Butcher Babies, Toseland, Kobra and the Lotus, Skarlett Riot and Normandie, and they also undertake their own headline tours across the UK. At the end of 2015, the band undergoes a personnel change and spends much of 2016 developing new material and refining its sound. A later EP, Guilty, follows with a revised line-up.
