Serge Devant

Serge Devant is a Russian electronic music DJ and producer whose work spans trance, progressive house, progressive trance and house. He studies classical music in the former Soviet Union before moving into electronic music, and his early career quickly brings him to wider attention.

Career

He appears in the DJ Mag Top 100 list and becomes the youngest resident DJ at New York club Crobar. He also holds residencies in major US cities and headlines shows internationally. His name is associated with major brand and media work, including support from Armani Exchange and an exclusive track for Coca-Cola connected to the Beijing Olympics.

His track Peace on Earth is used for Coca-Cola’s Olympic campaign, and his name appears on special edition Coca-Cola bottles in the US, China and Belgium. Another single, Sweet Harmony, receives play on BBC radio and appears on Pete Tong’s Essential Selection.

Releases and collaborations

Among his productions is Transparent, his first single with trance vocalist Jan Johnston. He also records remixes for Ultra Records, Lost Language and Pacha Recordings. An artist album is also in development in the period described in the text.

DJ Tiësto names Devant among his favourite DJs and requests him to share stages with leading names in the scene. Devant is described as making music that blends styles and combines a hard-edged sound with classical elements.
