Sense is the pseudonym of Melbourne IDM producer Adam Raisbeck, born in 1974. He first establishes himself as Soulenoid in early 1995 and performs at Melbourne venues including Club Filter, Global Warming and the Punters Club, as well as at events such as Omniglobe, Technofest, Big Day Out, Be Strange and Earthcore.

Background and live work

Raisbeck supports international acts including Derrick May, Stacey Pullen, Aphex Twin, Biochip C. and Cylob, along with the On-U Sound posse. His earlier recordings move through different forms of electronic music, including freestyle techno, and are described alongside the work of artists such as Zen Paradox, Voiteck and Robert Hood.

Recording work

He later releases music through IDM and ambient electronica labels including Merck, Neoouija and U-Cover. The name Sense is also used by several other acts, including a Finnish piano ballad solo project, a progressive rock band from French-speaking Canada with albums such as Madness, Out of Range, Stone in the Sky and Going Home, a French electro band, and a producer formerly known as waifu.
