Self Deception is a rock band from Stockholm, Sweden, active since 2007. The group forms around four members: Andreas Olsson on guitar and lead vocals, Erik Eklund on drums, Gabriel Rauhofer on guitar and backing vocals, and Patrik Hallgren on bass and backing vocals.

The band is originally formed in 2005 by Andreas Clark and Erik Eklund. Its sound draws mainly on 1990s influences, including west coast rock, grunge and hard rock. The group describes itself as four closely connected friends with a strong commitment to the music they play.
