Seldom

Seldom is a United States group associated with alternative metal, black metal, doom metal and alt. metal in the supplied tags, though its described musical setup is a Seattle-based pop-rock trio. The group uses piano, bass and drums as its core instrumentation, with some songs also adding electric guitar, mellotron, strings and other keyboard instruments.

Performances and collaborations

Seldom tours in support of Pedro the Lion and Sarah Shannon, formerly of Velocity Girl. In the Pedro the Lion live line-up, David Bazan plays bass and provides backing vocals.

Related work

Casey Foubert later joins Pedro the Lion for the album Control, where he plays drums and keyboards and co-writes “Penetration” and “Second Best”. In 2004, Foubert and Matthews, this time on bass, form Crystal Skulls with frontman Christian Wargo and guitarist Ryan Phillips.
