Sego
Sego is a group originating from Mapleton. It centres on Spencer Petersen and Thomas Carroll, who first emerge from the Provo, Utah music scene before relocating to an old pasta factory in downtown Los Angeles. Their work develops through several projects together, with the pair shaping a sound built around lazy, grungy guitars, digital overlays and direct lyrics.
The band’s debut album features angular guitar lines, complex arrangements and songs that reflect on the emptiness left by the false optimism of youth. Their style is associated with indie, electronic, indie pop, indie rock and psychedelic rock.
