Secret Affair are a UK mod group fronted by Ian Page and associated with the mod revival scene. They are described as the second best-selling band of that revival in the UK.

Career

The group’s best-known singles are Time for Action and My World, both of which sell more than 200,000 copies each in the UK. Secret Affair release three studio albums: Glory Boys, Behind Closed Doors and Business As Usual. A compilation, Anthology, appears in 2003 on Sanctuary Music.

Line-up changes and activity

Drummer Seb Shelton leaves after the second album to join Dexys Midnight Runners, and Paul Bultitude replaces him on the third album. The group later returns with a new line-up and continues to perform, with members including Seb Shelton, Dave Winthrop, David Cairns and Ian Page.

Selected performances

Secret Affair play the Isle of Wight Scooter Rally and appear at the Astoria 2 in 2008. They also perform in Dublin at Whelan’s in March 2009 and at the Camden Centre in London in May 2009.
