Sébastien Léger

Sébastien Léger is a house and electronic producer and DJ whose work also reaches into techno and tech house. He is the son of two professional musicians, and he spends 10 years studying at a music academy, learning piano and drums as well as musical technique and theory. He later begins digging through record shops, where he encounters the sounds of Daft Punk and other early dance and electronic acts, and then moves into DJing.

He starts making his own productions in 1998, and his early output combines house with techno while keeping a funk influence. In the same year, he releases his first EPs under the alias Deaf'n'Dumb Crew. His first album, Atomic Pop, appears in 1999.

Over the years, Léger releases more than 30 tracks on international labels and develops a profile as a producer and remixer. He works on remixes for artists including Justin Timberlake and Armand Van Helden, and for labels such as Ministry of Sound, Defected and Intec. He also launches his own record label and releases the album Planets.
