Sean Lock is an English comedian and writer from Surrey, born in 1963 and died in 2021. He begins his career as a stand-up comedian and is born in Woking, Surrey.

Career

He appears in the BBC series Newman and Baddiel in Pieces in 1993, where he often plays a recurring character styled on David Attenborough in one-man sketches that parody nature documentaries. He also works on television and radio more widely.

Writing and performance

Lock writes material for Bill Bailey, Lee Evans and Mark Lamarr. He co-writes and stars with Mark Lamarr in the cult comedy series 15 Storeys High.

Awards

In 2000, he wins the British Comedy Award for best live comic and is also nominated for the Perrier Comedy Award.
