Seamless

Seamless is a sample-based drone and ambient project from Brazil. It is also identified as SeamlessR, and the name Stephen O'Leary is associated with it. The project is described as an electronic dance music act.

The name Seamless is also used for a progressive metal band from Arkansas. That band begins as a project formed by Austin Sublett and Adam Simpson, who start playing together for fun before Chaz Stephens joins and the writing process begins. It becomes an official project in January 2011, when Zach Deaton joins on bass and Lance Griffin on vocals. The group records a short EP and starts booking shows. Jeremy Priest later joins as a third guitarist, and Micah Reynolds joins after contacting the band to record the full-length album in progress; he then becomes the keyboard player and additional vocalist.

The Arkansas line-up includes members from Ineffable Omen, A Lion Amongst Us, and Judging the Silence. The band’s stated influences include Periphery, After the Burial, Meshuggah, Textures, Animals as Leaders, Veil of Maya, Dream Theater, Tesseract, Monuments, and Born of Osiris. Chaz Stephens later leaves the project, and Lance Griffin also departs, after which the group continues with a narrower focus on its sound. The band is connected with Sporadic Studios in North Little Rock, Arkansas, run by Austin and Micah.
