Sea Bastard are a sludge and doom metal group from Brighton. Formed in July 2011, they emerge from the remains of two Brighton doom bands, Jovian and Funeral Hag, and their sound combines the slow, heavy approach associated with Jovian with the groove of Funeral Hag.

The band records its first demo, Great Barrier Riff, in October 2011. It is recorded live at 284 Studios in Brighton and circulates as a free download, with copies also available on CD. The group also makes shirts available.
