Sea At Last

Sea At Last is a duo made up of Cohen and Tory Elena. The act forms in spring 2011, when guitarist Cohen auditions a drummer for a mythological sea musical and Tory Elena arrives with a ukulele and takes the drum role instead. Their immediate musical connection leads to the formation of the group.

Cohen plays guitar and handles much of the melodic drive, while Tory Elena serves as the rhythm section and also plays ukulele. Both members sing, and they compose songs together. The music is described as cinematic rock and roll with elements associated with ambient, acoustic and post-rock styles, and it is often presented as expansive in sound while remaining intimate in feel.

The duo’s name and imagery centre on the sea, and their songs are characterised as soulful and untamed. Sea At Last is active as a collaborative project built around the shared voices and instrumental interplay of its two members.
