Scrubs

Scrubs is a London group active since 2017. The name is used by more than one act, but this entry refers to the East London desert rock band associated with thescrubsofficial.

Style and reception

The band is described as desert rock and is known for ferocious live performances and a confrontational attitude towards the modern music industry. Its debut self-released EP draws notice through BBC Introducing, which describes it as a forceful response to northern bands such as The Blinders and Avalanche Party.

Origin and context

Scrubs emerges from East London and is presented as a product of post-Brexit Britain. The act is separate from another band of the same name from Leutkirch in southern Germany, and it is also distinct from music from the television series Scrubs that is sometimes incorrectly tagged to this artist.
