Scrubber Fox is an electronic musician and audiovisual artist from Wigan, UK. His work spans smash beats, glitch, acid dancefloor tracks and more emotional forms of electronica. He releases music on Skam and Merck Records, and also has a full-length LP on the Paris-based label Musik Experience.

He is also active as a remixer and works on reworkings for a range of artists, including Cex on Tigerbeat6. His remix work covers material as varied as intricate guitar-led electronica, bass-heavy electronic music and guitar-based indie bands.

Audio-visual work

Scrubber Fox is part of a local arts collective in Wigan and works on new audiovisual projects. These include a DIY multi-touch art piece and a 3D visual mapping piece. He also works with DJ Stuff on various art pieces and has presented seminars and performances including DIY touch controllers, a circuit-bent audiovisual piece using retro games consoles, and a 3D audiovisual performance.

Hardware bending

Scrubber Fox and DJ Stuff are audiovisual artists and hardware bend-makers. Their approach uses home-built modifications and circuit-bending to turn obsolete electronics such as Sega Megadrive, NES and Atari 2600 consoles into audiovisual instruments, using the sound and graphics chips inside them for experimental music and visual generation.
