Scrimshire is the recording name of Adam Scrimshire, a producer and multi-instrumentalist from Rugby, London, born in 1978. His musical path begins with an Errol Garner record introduced by his grandfather when he is 14, and that early jazz influence remains central to his work.

His sound draws on jazz, soul and funk, while also incorporating contemporary elements and a strong emphasis on songcraft. He is associated with jazz, soul, nu jazz, funk and lo-fi. His debut album, Along Came The Devil One Night.., marks the start of his recorded output.
