Scrawl

Scrawl are an indie rock band from Columbus, Ohio, active from 1985 to 1998. The group forms around Marcy Mays on vocals and guitar, Sue Harshe on bass guitar, and Carolyn O’Leary on drums. Later members include Dana Marshall and Jovan Karcic.

The band’s first performance takes place in the summer of 1985, when they play a 20-minute opening set for the Meat Puppets. Their first album, Plus, Also, Too, appears in 1987 on No Other Records. Carolyn O’Leary leaves the group in May 1992 and is replaced by Dana Marshall.
