Scratcha

Scratcha, also known as DVA, is a grime producer and DJ from East London. He starts producing and DJing after leaving school in 1998. He uses the name Scratcha after previously performing as Scratch, a name he changes on the recommendation of D Double E.

Career

He works with and records vocals for many UK urban acts. He is described as one of the more innovative producers in his scene. His independent release The Voice of Grime Volume 1 features 22 UK singing acts and stands out as a compilation in a genre that is often dominated by instrumental tracks. The release brings him wider attention and leads to further offers of work.

He also works on an EP titled No Right Turn, which features Frisco, Chipmunk, Faction G and Ghetto.

Scratcha presents the Grimey Breakfast show on Rinse FM, airing Monday to Friday from 8 to 11am GMT.
