Scott Brown is a Scottish hardcore DJ and producer from Glasgow, United Kingdom. Born in 1972, he works across bouncy techno, electronic, happy hardcore, rave and UK hardcore, and he is closely associated with bouncy techno in particular. His music also spans happy hardcore, hard trance and gabber.

Career

Brown begins as a disc jockey and producer and is based in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire. He founds Evolution Records in 1994 and also releases music on a number of related labels, including Evolution Plus, Evolved, Evolution Gold, Poosh, Screwdriver and Twisted Vinyl.

Projects and aliases

He records under several names, including Plus System, The Scotchman, Interstate and Bass-X. Bass-X is a collaboration with his brother Stewart. He is also involved with Q-Tex, a band formed in 1991. Other associated acts include Kinetic Pleasure and Sub-Source.
