Scarred

Scarred is a death metal band from Folschette in Luxembourg, active since 2003. The group begins as a thrash metal project and later moves towards a heavier, more brutal sound as its line-up changes over time. Its music also draws on a range of influences, making its style difficult to define precisely.

Releases

The band issues its first EP, Inner Scars, in 2004. Its first full-length album, New Filth Order, follows in 2009. Gaia/Medea is released in 2013 through Klonosphere / Season of Mist Distribution, with mixing and mastering by Jochem Jacobs of Textures at Split Second Sound Studio. The album includes a guest solo by Attila Vörös, known for work with Nevermore and Leander Rising. In 2021, Scarred releases a self-titled album through Klonosphere Records and introduces vocalist Yann Dalscheid.

Line-up

The 2021 line-up consists of Yann Dalscheid on vocals, Laurent Kessel on drums, Bertrand Pinna on bass, and Diogo Bastos and Vincent Wilquin on guitars and backing vocals.

Live appearances

Scarred performs alongside a number of other artists and appears on major festival stages including Wacken Open Air and Metalcamp.
