Say Lou Lou
Say Lou Lou is a dream pop duo from Australia and Sweden, active since 2012. The group consists of twin sisters Elektra Kilbey and Miranda Kilbey, and is also known by the former name Saint Lou Lou.
Background
The pair grows up in both Australia and Sweden. They are the daughters of Steve Kilbey, the lead singer of the Australian alternative band The Church, and Karin Jansson, who is both his former partner and recording collaborator and was previously a member of the Swedish new wave group Pink Champagne. Elektra June Kilbey-Jansson is born on 7 June 1991.
Releases and label
Say Lou Lou issues its first single in 2012, then sets up its own record label, à Deux, in 2013. Between 2012 and 2014 the duo releases five singles. Its debut studio album, Lucid Dreaming, appears in 2015, and its second album, Immortelle, follows in 2018.
Recognition
In December 2013, Say Lou Lou is named on the BBC Sound of 2014 longlist.
