Sash!

Sash! is a German DJ and production group active since 1995. The project is fronted by Sascha Lappessen and works in the studio with Ralf Kappmeier, Thomas “Alisson” Lüdke and Thomas Alisson. It operates in electronic music, with euro house, euro-trance, eurodance and trance among the styles associated with it.

Career

Sash! becomes widely known in the late 1990s as one of the dance acts to achieve major commercial success with both albums and singles. The group sells millions of records and has a run of hit singles in the UK.

Its first five singles all reach the UK Top 3: “Encore Une Fois” peaks at number 2, “Ecuador” at number 2, “Stay” at number 2, “La Primavera” at number 3 and “Mysterious Times” at number 2. “Adelante” follows as another major single and reaches number 2. In 2002, the group releases “Ganbareh”, a single linked to the World Cup in Korea and Japan, with music inspired by traditional organs and Sash!’s established beat.

The group’s members are Sascha Lappessen, Ralf Kappmeier, Thomas Lüdke and Thomas Alisson. Sascha Lappessen is the public frontman, and the work is carried out in the studio with the other members.
