Sarah Tandy

Sarah Tandy is a London-based jazz pianist and one of the newer figures in the UK jazz scene. Her musical background includes vintage jazz records, classical music and Coleridge poetry, and her work is shaped by London’s varied live music environment, where jazz sits alongside a range of other styles.

Career

She plays keys for a wide list of artists and ensembles, including Jazz Jamaica, Nu Civilisation Orchestra, Maisha, Where Pathways Meet, Camilla George, Nubya Garcia, Nerija, Daniel Casimir, Binker Golding and Clark Tracey. She is also a member of Ronnie Scott’s House Band and the W3 Collective.

Tandy appears at major festivals including Love Supreme Festival and Berlin Jazz Festival. With her trio, she performs at the Ronnie Scott’s International Piano Trio Festival, where the group supports Robert Glasper. Earlier in her career, she also appears as a classical soloist with the BBC Symphony Orchestra.
