Sarah Louise is a guitarist and banjo player from Asheville, North Carolina. She learns to play guitar and banjo in the mountains of western North Carolina and works in a style associated with American primitivism, folk, drone and New Weird America.

Her playing draws on Appalachian and nature-based influences, combined with a modern compositional approach. It is described as ornate and detailed, with a focus on expanding the sound of contemporary guitar.
