Sara Petite is a country artist originally from Sumner, Washington, and later based in San Diego, California. Her music often features accordion, pedal steel guitar, fiddle, banjo and mandolin, giving it a traditional country and Americana texture.

In 2006, her song Coming Home wins the Best Song Award in the Country/Americana category at the Portland Songwriting Contest. The song forms one of the notable points in her recorded work and places her within the female independent country scene associated with the United States.
