Sammy Senior
Sammy Senior is a music producer and DJ from New Zealand who is based in Bristol. Born in 1984, he begins producing in late 2011 and soon attracts label interest, leading to releases on several labels during 2012 and a debut EP in 2013.
Style and work
His music is associated with nu funk, avant-breaks and prog downtempo funk, and he is linked with the funky breaks scene. His tracks and DJ sets also move into swing-hop, glitch, drum and bass, dub, ragga and hip-hop.
DJ work and label role
He DJs at many of the major festivals in the UK and also manages the mid-tempo breaks label Ghetto Funk.
