Sam Grassie is a fingerstyle guitarist and songwriter from London. He is part of the folk collective Broadside Hacks and plays as Avocet. His debut EP, Sandwood, combines woodwind, saxophone, drones and double bass, and establishes a sound shaped by trad folk and fingerstyle guitar. His approach reflects the influence of Bert Jansch while remaining centred on original songwriting and instrumental detail.
