Salem

Salem is an Israeli metal band from Tel Aviv, active since 1985. The group is regarded as one of the first Israeli metal bands and is often described as an early force in “oriental” metal. It also develops within black metal, death metal, death-doom metal, doom metal, gothic metal and melodic death metal, with an early place in the global underground death/doom scene.

The group includes Michael Goldstein, Ze’ev Tananboim, Giora Hirsch, Amir Neubach, Nir Nakav, Nir Gutraiman and Lior Mizrahi.
