Sack

Sack is an Irish band from Dublin, active since 1994. It is a pop punk group whose line-up includes Dave Dorgan, John Brereton, Tony Brereton, Ken Haughton, Martin McCann, Simon Quigley, Derek Lee, Darrell Rainey and Adrian Traynor.

History and releases

The band is formerly known as Lord John White. It releases three albums: You Are What You Eat, Butterfly Effect and Adventura Majestica. Its first single, What Did The Christians Ever Do For Us, is named single of the week by both NME and Melody Maker.

Touring and style

Sack supports Morrissey on two tours that take in mainland Europe, the UK and Ireland, as well as the United States. The band describes its sound as “Frank Sinatra fronting the Pixies”.
