Ryan Hemsworth

Ryan Hemsworth is a Canadian DJ and producer from Halifax, Canada, born in 1990. His work is rooted in electronic music and hip hop, with a particular focus on sampling. He is also associated with the projects Quarter-Life Crisis and Bodysync, and releases music through Secret Songs and Ryan Hemsworth Music, Inc.

Career

Raised in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Hemsworth studies journalism at the University of King’s College. He produces tracks for artists including Deniro Farrar and Shady Blaze, and he also makes remixes for Grimes, Frank Ocean, Tinashe and Cat Power. His debut album, Guilt Trips, appears in 2013 on Last Gang Records. A free remix mixtape, ☺RYANPACKv.1☺, follows a few weeks later.
