RXPTRS

RXPTRS are a rock band from Bristol, formed in 2018 and active since then. The group consists of vocalist Simon Roach, guitarists Ian Chadderton and Harley Watson, bassist Sam Leworthy and drummer Mat Capper.

The band’s sound combines rock, metal, punk and hardcore, with an emphasis on both heaviness and melody. Their approach is described as a deliberate refusal to fit within a single genre, and their live performances are characterised by high energy.

RXPTRS are a group of long-term friends who set out to make the music they wanted to hear. Their songs are built around personal themes, with each track linked to a specific event or experience from the members’ lives. They describe the music as a way of documenting those lives and as a form of therapy for expressing anger, frustration, confusion and wider problems with society and interpersonal relationships.

Vocalist Simon Roach has said the band’s sound reflects a post-modern context, drawing on a wide range of musical influences available to them.
