Rwake

Rwake are a sludge metal band from North Little Rock, United States, formed in 1996. The group begins as a jamming four-piece and is originally called Wake. Their sound is associated with sludge metal, doom metal and progressive metal, and they are active on Relapse Records.

The band starts touring in July 2002. Their recorded output includes one demo, Xenoglossalgia: The Last Stage of Awareness, and several studio albums: Absence Due to Projection, Hell is a Door to the Sun, If You Walk Before You Crawl, You Crawl Before You Die, Voices of Omens and Rest and The Return of Magik. They also appear on numerous samplers and compilations.

Rwake open for other bands in their field and have also played with The Misfits. A tour titled “The Last Temptation of Crust” begins on April 8, 2005, in Nashville, Tennessee, with support from Weedeater over a two-week run.

The group’s members include Aaron Mills, Kris Graves, Jeff Morgan, Chris Terry, Rob Eaton, Reid Riley, Brittany Fugate, Chuck Schaaf, Kiffin Rodgers, John Judkins, Reid Raley and Austin Sublett.
