RUTHLSS

RUTHLSS is the electronic project of Ruth Edmondson, a London-based DJ, producer, songwriter and film composer. She is classically trained on piano from the age of four and begins composing music at twelve, before moving into music production and working across both band projects and solo material. Her route into electronic music begins in the rave scenes of Leeds and London, where she develops a strong interest in club culture and starts making her own tracks.

Her sound brings together techno, vocal-led electronica, leftfield bass and trance. She is known for sets that are energetic and varied, and for productions that combine club-focused intensity with melodic detail. Her debut electronic EP attracts support from BBC Radio 1, BBC 6 Music, MixMag, Clash and Metal Magazine, and its title track, Northern Lights, is a key example of her blend of dancefloor drive and melodic writing.

RUTHLSS performs in underground club settings and at venues including Fabric Room 1, Corsica Studios and Village Underground. She also appears at festivals such as Body Movements and Decibel Festival. Alongside her work as a performer and producer, she is signed to BMG Publishing as a songwriter, scores for film, and curates an Apple Selects playlist. She also has a second EP, a piano album and a debut live electronic show in development.
