Ruthie Henshall

Ruthie Henshall is a British musical theatre performer and singer from Bromley, England. Born in 1967, she is known for stage roles in West End and Broadway productions and has won an Olivier Award.

Stage work

Henshall appears in productions including Cats and A Chorus Line. She plays Ellen in Miss Saigon, Fantine in Les Misérables, Nancy in Oliver, and both Velma and Roxie in Chicago. She also makes her Broadway debut in Putting It Together.

Recording and voice

She records three albums: Love Is Here to Stay, a tribute to the music of the Gershwins, Pilgrim, and The Ruthie Henshall Album. Her voice ranges from low belt to high soprano, and she is also described as an actress.

Henshall and Michael Ball receive the Theatregoer's Club of Great Britain Award for Most Popular Musical Stage Actor and Actress. She is married to Canadian-born, UK-based singer and actor Tim Howar, and they have two daughters.
