Runaround Kids

Runaround Kids are a Wakefield indie rock group active since 2008. The band consists of George Garthwaite, Jack Winn and Rob Burnell, and they are signed to Philophobia.

Release history

In 2011 they release their debut album, Linked Arms. The record draws critical praise for its noisy, energetic sound, lo-fi texture and strong melodies, and it helps establish the band on radio and playlist support from stations including BBC 6Music, Radio 1, Amazing Radio and XFM. On Radio 1, Huw Stephens names the album as his Tip of the Week.

Live activity

The band play Leeds and Reading Festivals in 2010, and return to Leeds Festival in 2011 at the request of Leeds label Dance To The Radio. They also appear at the inaugural Constellations and Long Division festivals, as well as Live At Leeds, Tramlines, Eurocultured and Bomfest. In addition, they support Jeffrey Lewis, Pulled Apart By Horses, Johnny Foreigner, Dinosaur Pileup and Shrag.
