Rumble Fish

Rumble Fish is a South Korean rock band active from 2002 to 2010. The group is made up of 최진이, 이원상, 폴라리스, 김호일, 김성근, 박천휘 and 심호근, and it is based in South Korea.

Overview

The band performs music created by its members themselves and is known for self-written material. In its early years, Rumble Fish builds a reputation among club audiences and music producers before its major-stage debut in 2004. Its performances take place mainly in clubs around Hongik University, including Jammers, where it develops a following for energetic live shows and a charismatic stage presence.

Career and recognition

Before the release of its debut album, Rumble Fish already has a community of 2,500 members. The band also earns attention through competition success: in 2003 it wins the Superior Award at Ssamji Sound Festival, the Grand Prize at Korea Rock Championship, and the Grand Prize at SBS Net Song Festival.

Members

The lineup identified with the band includes 최진이 on lead vocals and guitar, 김성근 on guitar, 김호일 on bass, and 박천휘 on drums. After the group disbands in 2010, 최진이 continues as a solo artist under the name Rumble Fish.

Rumble Fish releases Swing Attack in 2004, Have A Nice Dream in 2005, the digital single I Go in 2006, Open The Safe in 2007, Open The Safe (Special Edition) later in 2007, Memory For You in 2008, and One sweet day in 2009.
