Ruefrex

Ruefrex are a punk group from Belfast, Northern Ireland. They build a reputation over a turbulent decade-long career and are noted for refusing to accept sectarian divisions, which brings criticism from both Protestant and Catholic communities.

Career and releases

The band records its debut for Terri Hooley’s Good Vibrations label. It later reaches the indie charts with Capital Letters and Paid In Kind, both released on the Northern Irish indie label One by One. Ruefrex also appears on the cover of Melody Maker after recording The Wild Colonial Boy, a release described as controversial and unapologetic.
